Eric J. Larson is a partner in the firm. He received his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University and attended law school at Western State University. Before beginning his legal career, Eric spent seven years handling claims in the insurance industry.
As an attorney, Eric has extensive experience defending clients in employment law matters including discrimination claims and claims under the FEHA. Eric has also handled a number of Labor Code § 132a claims involving alleged discrimination against employees who have filed a workers compensation claim. Eric has tried a number of cases to verdict, either as lead or co-counsel in both the Superior Court and the Workers Compensation Appeals Board. Further, Eric has represented clients in arbitrations, mediations and mandatory settlement conferences. Also, he has handled various appellate matters and argued in the Fourth Appellate District and the Superior Court Appellate Division.
In addition, Eric has defended general contractors, subcontractors and developers. He is familiar with all aspects of construction related litigation, including contract indemnity and additional insured issues. He has handled construction cases involving a wide range of claimed defects from soils subsidence to leaking roofs.
Eric is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. During his tenure as an insurance adjuster, Eric served on a panel discussing adjuster relations with plaintiff's counsel for the Bar Association. He has been a member of State Bar of California since 1995. He is also a former board member of the Ocean Beach Town Council.
